Yamashiro—translated from japanese to "the mountain palace", is located in the hills of Hollywood. While enjoying breathtaking views of Los Angeles from Griffith Observatory to the Pacific Ocean and everything in between, it serves Asian-inspired Californian cuisine. The mansion, completed in 1914, is a replica of a palace from the Yamashiro province of Japan. In addition to the restaurant, the property includes an open air courtyard and a 600 year old pagoda.
